Sam Thousand

Sam Thousand is a 10-year, full-time musician and curator who has become a household name throughout the city. He is a 3Arts Awards recipient and a current Walder Platform awardee. Through his company ChiBrations, Sam Thousand aims to centralize the performing arts community in greater Chicago through open-stage events and resources through the ChiBrations App, for which he is the tech founder. Sam Thousand is an arts advocate and is co-chair of the Arts Leadership Counsel for Arts Alliance Illinois (AAI). He is currently a fellow for Chicago United for Equity (CUE) through which he is pushing for policy reform to improve the creative economic landscape in Chicago.
