Exhibition Dates:Saturday, February 22 – Sunday, March 30

Location:The Beautiful Cat 1070 W Granville, Chicago, IL 60660 Northeast corner of Granville and Winthrop, just half a block east of the Granville Red Line stop and a block west of the 147 express bus.

Gallery Information:Locked Achievements is on display in a window gallery, viewable 24/7. All artwork has been approved by the Juvenile Justice System.

About Locked Achievements:Locked Achievements showcases art created by youth inside the Juvenile Justice Center, developed through workshops by the Stomping Grounds Literary Arts Initiative (SGLAI). This inaugural exhibition at The Beautiful Cat celebrates the resilience, creativity, and personal growth of incarcerated youth. Through storytelling in various forms—comics, poetry, music production, and more—these students have found powerful ways to express themselves, even while confined. They…
